Apple and blackberry crumble

No dessert is better for cold rainy autumn afternoons than hot crumble with custard.
. Serves 4. 8 steps
300g dessert apples peel, core, slice into 16ths Arrange apples in baking dish, sprinkle with sugar and water. Bake in moderate oven 15 minutes or until beginning to go soft Bake in moderate oven 45 minutes
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon water
200g blackberries   Mix in
topping   Sprinkle over
75g rolled oats   mix together
50g wholemeal flour
35g brown sugar
80g butter   cut butter into cubes and rub in
